BOCAINA NATIONAL PARK
Created by decree in 1971 to preserve 100.000 hectares of Atlantic Forest between the coast of Rio de Janeiro State and São Paulo State. A wild area with two different entrances:
- By Bananal: A Historical city, 19th century architecture, and many old Coffee Farms. After range over the hills, we find the waterfalls and a marvelous view of Angra dos Reis Bay.
- By São José do Barreiro: Also a historical city from the 19th century. Ecological jeep rides and hikes along forest trails. The Santo Izidro Waterfall has 70m of height, and a natural "beach". Here, begins the GOLD TRAIL that ends at PARATI.
Enjoy, at least, three days in Bocaina National Park.
